Axiom was started by a group of friends with lifetimes of experience in humanitarian and medical aid. This is who you work with.

Dr Robby Zirkelbach

Founder and Visionary

Robby is the founder of Axiom and of several humanitarian companies dedicated to serving the world’s most inaccessible regions. Through the 1990s he directed China Care International in Hong Kong, overseeing the building of schools, water-sanitation projects, and clinics across rural China. He has since coordinated disaster relief in Tibet, Pakistan, Nepal, Indonesia, Japan, Sudan, North Korea, and Iraq. His approach pairs humanitarian work with sustainable small business, so that medical supplies reach the places that need them most.

Dr Andrea Liu

Andrea spent her early years in Nepal, where a desire to reach underserved communities first took root. She trained in medicine in the UK and has worked more than 15 years as a GP, holding a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. Alongside her clinical work she has served in global-health initiatives, humanitarian medicine, and poverty-alleviation projects across India, Hong Kong, China, Haiti, Nepal, and Türkiye.

Bethany Morris

Communications and administration

Bethany read English Literature and worked as an English teacher before moving into humanitarian work, a path that began through volunteering in underprivileged nations. She has since worked for UK charities in administration and communications, with fieldwork in China, the Philippines, India, and Iraq.
